Prompt: What indulgences and extravagances exist in your life? Do you have addictions? Fixations? Do you prefer designer labels over store brands? Do brand-name foods taste better than store brands? Do you have dessert daily? How much is your closet (or dresser or both) worth now? Do you over-indulge, or do you deprive yourself more often? Most people have balance, but not everyone. Where do you fall? Why do you think that is? Explain.
My indulgences are clear after reviewing my Amazon order history: I enjoy skincare products. Ever since I was in my twenties, I’ve had some skincare routine; when I say skincare, I mean my face and neck. We all had our fair share of acne throughout puberty, and my experience wasn’t any different. I never wanted my skin to reflect how I was feeling internally. Presentation is everything; people first look at your face and neck. Your first impression is your skin.
I’ve made it a point to care for my skin ever since. I will spend money on a good skincare product to address my problem areas: hyperpigmentation and oily skin. My skin makes it look like I’m always sweating, which is embarrassing.
