Gratitude in small doses

Sometimes, you have to reintroduce habits you’ve practiced and learned. Situations in your life happen, and you forget about the routine that you’ve been practicing. This past year, I still need to remember how to show gratitude. Just be thankful for the small things to prepare you for the big stuff. Karma has a way of showing up, and usually, it shows up when you’re admiring what you already have to prepare yourself with what you want.

I’m having a writing purge before 2023 ends, helping me release the emotional weight I’ve been carrying. Whatever strong opinion I have, I write. If I disagree, I write it; if my opinion isn’t going to get the traction it deserves, I write. I know I’ve been flooding the publication Know Thyself, Heal Thyself, but the publication is my safe space.

I thank the editor, Diana C., for reading and showcasing my thoughts. I also want to thank everyone who read my work in November. I broke a personal record of sixteen pieces.

I received a mention from the publication Illumination, and I found out that one of my articles was on the Illumination Curated list. I’m blessed to have been on this list two or three times before. I didn’t make a fuss because I try not to “gloat,” whatever that means, but since I’m switching things up, I’m celebrating this win.
